I was called in to help Jasper and his mom because he was showing signs of aggressive behaviour toward family members—specifically men. Things had escalated to the point where they built a gate in the house just to keep Jasper away from his mom’s brother.
We got to work right away, first focusing on helping Jasper find a place where he felt safe. From there, we introduced structured exercises to build his ability to stay in that safe space, and slowly worked on exposure therapy—gradually introducing the triggers in a calm, controlled way.
It’s safe to say Jasper is doing phenomenal. With consistency and patience, he’s learning to trust, relax, and respond instead of react.
